A Great Place to Call Home

EDUCATION

Spearfish is home to Black Hills State University, the third largest in the state. Our proximity to the Sanford Deep Underground lab means we are home to highly trained scientists and researchers who work daily on bringing the future closer to home.

LOCATION

Spearfish is located in the beautiful Northern Black Hills in Western South Dakota. With a high quality of life, Spearfish offers enticing outdoor recreation and access to a wide variety of arts and entertainment.

POPULATION

The greater Spearfish community has seen some of the fastest growth in population of anywhere within our state.

GROWTH POTENTIAL

We are just beginning to realize our potential. Our infrastructure is in place with modern utilities, the space to expand, a growing trained workforce and favorable business climate. Spearfish is rising faster than the rainbow trout that dot our pristine mountain streams.

FAVORABLE TAX CLIMATE

Imagine a place where you can start a business, hire some of the hardest working people in America, and together make money and keep it – rather than hand it over to the government.

CONNECTIVITY

With the fastest internet available, modern uncrowded Interstate travel and the second largest airport in the Black Hills region you are minutes, miles or just a day away from anywhere in the world.
